Tim has spent over 30 years working in the field of psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis.
He has spent his life dedicated to enriching the lives of people with an intellectual/developmental and mental health related disability in partnership with families, residential facilities, schools and community providers.
Tim has specialized, for most of his career in working with individuals who display the most extreme behavioral challenges, such as intense physical aggression, self-injurious/destructive behavior, pica/Coprophagy, and children with eating rigidity or food and fluid refusal. Tim has also worked with individuals diagnosed with a mental health disorder such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
Over the past 5 years Tim has focused more on working with children diagnosed with ASD concentrating on treatment for developmental deficits and challenging behavior. Last year he started an early intervention program for children 0-6.
Tim has provided workshops and trainings in ABA for psychologists, speech pathologists and para professionals in residential settings and schools as well as provided supervision and training for BCBA’s, Behavior Specialists and Behavior Technician’s. He has been a presenter at the Association for Behavior Analysis International conferences.
Tim received his Master of Science in Psychology from California Coast University and a post-graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech).
In his “spare” time Tim enjoys writing (he has completed one novel), playing guitar, hiking/snowshoeing, fishing and quiet time in the mountains or at the ocean.
