Ever since I was a young girl, I’ve been inspired to make a difference in the lives of those around me. I was influenced by my aunts and uncles who opened their own homes to children and adults with a variety of special needs. I’ve always felt compelled to advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves. I was introduced to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in 2014 when I witnessed the positive impact it had on one of my cousins. I immediately applied to be a Behavior Technician and never looked back. My experience includes working with a variety of age groups in the clinic, home, and in school or group-home settings.
